I have my son set up with a MS account on a Win 10 computer. I signed him up to XBox to Play online with him, but get an error message that the privacy settings are blocking online interaction. On the XBox Live Privacy and online safety page, it only shows
options for me.

My son does show up properly under MS Family, and I can change those Settings (like display time, etc.), but I cannot connnect to his XBox Live account. We do not have an XBox, just PCs running Win 10.

I cannot manage any settings concerning XBox-live, wether in my own account, nor in the account of my son.

Very frustrating.

How can I Change the settings of a childrens account in XBo-live?

How can I delete the XBox-account of my son, without deleting the whole MS account?

Then, how can I create a new account for my son?

Childrens nick not appearing in XBOX live family settings so I cant allow them access to online play

I'm trying to update my family settings for XBOX Live. But thge Childrens Nick isn't appearing, only my own player name. Everything else i set up correctly. We actually don't own an Xbox but now that my son has started playing Forza Horizon 3 on Windows
10 it seems that there is some kind of error in handling your child XBOX Live security settings if only using PC and win 10. He can't play online from the PC since it states that his current XBOX live settings don't allow online play. But the I can't change
them since his player nick does not appear in my list. Allthoough he is there in regular Windows family settings.

And if trying to change it directly from his profile, it does not work since his account is a child account.

It's a real catch 22 situation... plz help.

Xbox One Wireless Adapter does not play nicely with Steam Big Picture

If it is a setting problem then yes, change the xbox app settings or alternatively press Win+G on any game and change the settings for the Xbox Gamebar to not leverage the Guide button.

The fact that it works over wired, leads me to guess you potentially have a hybrid mix of old(windows 8)/new (windows 10) stack which is not supported on Windows 10.

Kids cannot change their settings (obviously). I cannot figure out how to do it for them. They are set up as children, but there is no way to change privacy settings (using Edge on Windows 10 anniversary update). Very annoying!

Have you tried changing the status of your profile on the website? It may be that you will automatically have set some things prohibited to children.

First make sure that you yourself have an adult Microsoft Account (i.e. your Microsoft Account should have been created with a birthdate that is of legal adult age now).

Then go to
https://account.microsoft.com/family and sign in with your adult parent account.

If not already done so, add the Microsoft Accounts of your children to the family.

After you added your children's own Microsoft Accounts to your Family, go to
https://account.xbox.com/settings and sign in with your parent account again.

Here you should now see your and your children's accounts.

Click on one of the children accounts and make the necessary changes in the Online and Privacy, Xbox One and Windows 10 and Xbox 360 categories.

Make sure you save the settings before you change the category.

After you set the online and privacy settings as well as the multiplayer settings to your liking, your kids would have to restart the Minecraft App to have the changes applied.
