Change Xbox Live account country FR > US

Hi,

I just moved from France to California for a few years. And I would like to change my Xbox Live account country from France to USA in order to be able to access the US apps & content.

Will I face any content restriction if I change my Xbox Live country from France to US? Will I still be able to play the games that I bought and downloaded on my Xbox One with no issues like Destiny or ACUnity?

And what process should I follow to make this change?

Anyone know how this would work? (Live related)

Hey everyone, looking for some info regarding xbox live accounts.. seeing as I couldn't find anything helpful on the xbox support page, i thought I'd try here.
My situation:
I am currently living away from home (out of the country actually) and will be for the foreseeable future. Im thinking of purchasing a new X1 since i left mine at home with my bro.
My question is, would I be able to play with or at the same time as my brother using a single Live account? I know if one of us tries to sign into the same GT the other is logged in as, it will ask us if we want to sign out (only 1 GT at a time).
However, since a gold account is shared on the home xbox. What if my brother signs in with a different GT and I sign in with the original GT( through which Live was bought)?

Second question:
Can I download and sign into by Xbox Live GT if i'm in a different country?

 

How to Change your Xbox LIVE account information

Overview

It is possible to change information associated with your Xbox LIVE account like your name, address, phone number or email address.

Note: You cannot change the country that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account. If you have moved to another country and you would like to access Xbox LIVE from there, you have to create a new Xbox LIVE account in your new location.

How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on Xbox.com

1) Go to My Account and Sign In with your Microsoft Account. (This is the email and password that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account).

2) Make the changes you want to your billings account information and then click Save.

How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on your console.

1) Sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

2) Proceed to Settings, and then select Account.

3) Select Your Information, and then go to Billing Information.

4) Sign In with your Microsoft account password.

5) Change your billing account information and then click Done.

In case you want to change the billing name on your Xbox LIVE account, go to Xbox.com

 

You should be able to play the games you purchased already. If you were to keep your gamertag set for France you could experience issues with downloading items due to a different IP address.
