Change xbox gamerpic for child account

Why is it so hard (if possible) to change an avatar? Is it so sensitive, more then gamertag, and dozen of other information that is editable?

I tried to change it via xbox one console, browser on pc, xbox app on pc, all of them with both parent and the target child account. During the process I've kicked the child account from family, changed the date of birth, re-joined the family as adult. Now
it appears as adult but the same 'Custom images are available for adult accounts' error message still appear.

It really drives me crazy, took a whole day and no success on this 'exceptionally hard' task. Not to mention that all combination of the app/account has different behavior, some simple does not offer the feature, other may offer the feature but still has
different error messages. Meanwhile MS account picture has been changed with 3 clicks, as expected. Unfortunately, to use xbox app on pc a local user of the child needed, well I'm not keen to add odd accounts to a corporate pc I only have. Once, when I signed
in via browser with child account it magically switched to parent account (I was signed in with that browser before with both account a few times but always signed out properly), at least the MS account image synced down to parent account, so I have his image.

These features are over-complicated and full of bugs.

I don't want my child faked as a hundred years old adult with yet another email and such odd things, just upload a fancy avatar he draw and enjoy.

Is there a way to make it work?

Is there a way in the circle linking 'help' jungle to get to an officer/developer and punish them to have them change their own children avatar to see what they put together in this topic?

i can’t change my gamerpic because when i made my account it was set to child. if i put a family member on my account can i then change my gamerpic?

 

XBOX ONE CUSTOM GAMER PICTURE ISSUE

If you are using a child account you cannot use a custom gamerpic. There is no way to change the birthdate on an xbox live account.

 

When you have an account that starts as a child account, changing the birth date from what was originally used does not make it an adult account.

Until the original birth date that was used on the account, reaches the age of 18, the account will still remain a child account regardless of the settings you change.

 

There has been an increased clamp down on Gamerpics now, due to the freedom of them. Some people have been putting not suitable for children profile pictures.
