"Change volume by voice by ____ steps" option in settings broken since Sep. 22 update

I don't have this option "Mute" under the Voice menu...

The only area I could find that had an option like that was to go under Preferences --> Voice, which then had options of Voice output, Game Volume, and Voice Volume. Both volumes set to max, output set to headset. Nothing has improved through switching them
however.

My voice settings are: Voice Volume - 10, Game Volume - 6, and play through headset. I have a wired headset. I tried changing my video sharing preferences, but it still did not work.

Actually, I got a response in another thread that got it working.

You can change where the voice comes through by following these instructions:

(1) Hit the XBOX button

(2) Go to preferences

(3) Go to Voice

(4) There are three options here to select where to send the voice through: (1) Headset only, (2) Speaker only, (3) Both.

You can also adjust the voice volume and in game volume while chatting in that same option.

I ended up ordering the mic since I got it working with the XBOX headset and my IEMs.

When I say "Xbox, Volume Up", the Xbox pops up the window saying it heard me correctly, but the TV doesn't change. Voice commands that the xbox acknowledges but don't work:

- changing volume

- toggle mute

- changing channels

- power on tv at startup

- power off tv at shutdown

And many more!

I'm starting to think that maybe my Kinect is broken.
