    Change visibility of UWP application while recording


    I am trying to create an UWP Xaml application that has similar properties as Xbox Bar. I need my application to be not visible when recorded and rendered using screen recorder or captured using screen capture, but be running in the foreground. I searched for similar application or source code, but unfortunately could not find and reference.

    IDE - Visual Studio 2019

    Any help or reference will be appreciated.

    i'm also running an AMD R9 390 and an i7 2600k. guess the AMD card is the common denominator.

    i have almost the exact same problem.

    when i start recording is looks like it starts out with something like 500kbit/s, then the longer the recording goes the better the quality becomes (same for running the background recording). this does NOT happen with any other hardware encoder, only the
    xbox app dvr does that.

    wild guess is that windows 10 does not set the starting bitrate properly, which is very unfortunate as it seems to be the most versatile of all 3 major hardware encoders as it supports not only every fullscreen application, but even UWP games.
