Change the gamerpic of a child account

Hi,

I want to change the picture predefined for my child on xboxlive.

I am an adult and I monitor the content my son wants to use.

Since he has a child account, can I do it or do I have to create a new adult account for him ?

gamerpic

i can’t change my gamerpic because when i made my account it was set to child. if i put a family member on my account can i then change my gamerpic?

XBOX ONE CUSTOM GAMER PICTURE ISSUE

If you are using a child account you cannot use a custom gamerpic. There is no way to change the birthdate on an xbox live account.

If you're wanting to use a custom gamerpic, he would need an adult account. There is currently no way to use a custom gamerpic on child accounts.

Otherwise, you can change his gamertag to one of the ones Xbox makes available.

Upload a custom image

To upload a custom image, connect a USB device with a JPG or PNG image on it. You can also grab an image from OneDrive (available in the Microsoft Store under Apps) if you have it installed on your console.

Note

Custom images are only available for adult Microsoft accounts.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Sign in, choose your profile, then select My profile.

Select Customize profile > Change gamerpic. (You’ll need to select
Switch to gamerpic first if you’re replacing your avatar with a custom image.)

Select Upload a custom image and choose one to use from your connected device or OneDrive.

Select Upload.

It might take a little while for your custom picture to appear while we verify it’s OK. (If it’s not, it’ll be reverted to the last gamerpic or avatar you were using.)

The only restrictions mentioned are that a child's account cannot use a custom Gamerpic. There are no restrictions on how often you can change the Pic.

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums with this question. As your child's account was created a child account type, it will "age" naturally as your child does to reach "adult" status for the account. That being said, as our Ambassador has stated, you
must have an adult account in order to place a custom gamerpic onto the profile. For further information regarding custom gamerpics and child accounts I recommend our support articles entitled Changing
