Change the dates of gold membership

Your Xbox Live Gold membership will automatically renew once it expires - if you're seeing that it will renew in 2019, that means it won't expire until then.

You can check to verify that you have an active Xbox Live Gold membership by signing into your
Microsoft Account Subscriptions page.

Did you have a Gold membership for the entire time your account was connected to Live? The tenure is only counted for the duration that a Gold membership was attached and it only changes on the actual birthday of the account (date account was created).

The account will age normally on the date that it was created so long as you've had a Gold membership for a full year prior to the account's anniversary. For example. You create your gamertag on 8/01/2014 and purchase a one year Gold membership from that
date. You renew before the membership expires and on 8/01/2015 your profile on the 360 (Settings>Profile) will show the 1 in the upper right hand corner.

However, if the membership expired for any length of time prior to the anniversary date then the aging process will be pushed back to reflect the change.

And yes, my Xbox Gold membership is up to date.

If you had a renewing membership (of course), the billing date and renewal date are two separate things. Say your Gold membership renewed on the 15th of the month, but your account's billing date is the 5th of the month. If your Gold membership renews on
10/15, then the charge for the 10/15-11/15 term of the membership will process on 11/5. Now, if you disabled autorenew prior to 11/5, then this charge is probably unexpected. However, it is a valid charge.
