    Hi. I wasn't aware that I seem to have two Xbox accounts. One associated with a G-mail address and one associated with a Hotmail address. For some reason the Gamertag I want to use on the XBOX was associated with the G-mail account and I want to have it
    associated with the Hotmail account instead and delete the Microsoft account associated with the G-mail account. When I try to change any details on the Gmail associated account it asks me to put in an old security e-mail to prove my identity (which is from
    years ago and the address has since been deleted) and isn't offering me any other way of changing security info, not even phone number. So what do I do now? How can I change the e-mail over? Hopefully somebody can help. Thanks/

    Check your e-mail address with xbox live and check your e-mail address you're making your purchase with on xbox.com

    Are they the same? I "purchased" gears of war 3 easily.

    I'm not sure how to change my e-mail in there though. I've changed it in billing info and contact info... but to sign into my XBL account I still have to sign in with my old e-mail address.

    Changing Xbox account to another email

    to change your microsoft account you need to know your account password then go to setings>account>account security and change microsoft account. This will not work if you have outdated security info or if you have made any changes to your account info in
    the last 30 days. also if you're moving to a g-mail or another accout that is not hotmail live or outlook the e-mail has to be registered at login.live.com click on sign up and register the e-mail address as a microsoft account. If you need to register your
    e-mail address do not make the mistake of going to xbox .com this will automatically assign a gamertag to your e-mail address. the new e-mail address cannot have a gamertag on it. if it has you need to transfer that gt onto another e-mail address and wait
    30 days for that e-mail address to become free.

    I have the password, and I know it is correct, as I changed it only yesterday, but the GT will not let me sign in, claiming that I'm using an invalid e-mail address, even though all of my information is correct. I've tried many times signing in, but it seems
    that the Yahoo! e-mail address just doesn't work for XBL anymore. Is there anything I can do aside from signing into the console or website, as neither will accept the e-mail address as a valid WLID?

    Draftier,

    If this is the first time you signed in with your alternate e-mail address, you are likely see the random Gamertag that gets generated for an Xbox Live account. Once the account has been created you have 30 days to change the gamertag. After that 30 day
    period you will have to pay the fee to change it. If you don't plan on ever using this alternate e-mail address on your Xbox or xbox.com then you don't have to worry about it. Just sign out of the profile and sign in with your primary e-mail address. Hope

    It sounds like you may have used a different e-mail address for your personal Xbox Live account. Are you able to try a different e-mail to see if there's any change with what signs in?
