If I have a dvd from the USA could I change my UK settings to USA/Region 2 for it to play the dvd?

Can you conform this is still the case?
I want to change my region from Belgium to USA, becouse AAA games are ~20 cheaper there!
And if the game is cross-play on win10 can I play it there?Click to expand... I try this on win10 mobile. And (I think) it the same way as XBone and win10 pc.
If you pay for a game in one region you can only download it in that region, but you can change you're region, buy it, download it, change region to normal, and than play it!

Guys, I do know that the Xbox One plays Blu-ray and DVD movies. That is not what I'm asking. What I want to know is, does it play movies of any region? So for instance, does it play region 1 (US) and region 4 (Middle East) movies?Click to expand...

Just to summarize. The answer is no, it does not play movies of any region. The Xbox One is region locked so it'll only play movies for the region it was purchased from.

nope, not on the xbox unless you change country which would mean most other things like the store and dlc won't work.

It's only region free for physical copies of games.

It's because of the region mismatch. For certain region-locked content (for example Games on Demand) the physical location needs to match the account region.

Your two solutions to this are to 1) move yourself or 2) migrate the account.

You cannot change the account region (that is set only once) but you can change your language as "I Dashboard It" said. Additionally you can change your console's region (not account's region) by doing the following:

1. Settings

2. System Settings

3. Console Settings.

4. Language and Region

5. Region

6. Change region to the appropriate location.

Keep in mind that your console's region controls what you will see on the dashboard, so if you have the incorrect region you may see advertisements or offers that do not apply to you.
