Discus and support Change Parent Microsoft Account in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Hello, is there any other way to assign a Parent Microsoft Account ?     Change Parent Microsoft Account


    Hello, is there any other way to assign a Parent Microsoft Account ? I am trying to assign my son's account to mine but each time i get to the very end i get "Xbox Live signup is currently unavailable" . When Live seems to be working fine on my account.

    Back ground is that this account was accidentally removed from the "family" and i am trying to get it back on there. Any help greatly appreciated.

    Parent Microsoft Account Not Valid

    On My 360 it says "Your Parent's Microsoft account isn't valid.Your Parent needs to choose a different account to manage your Xbox Profile. For More Info, Please Visit www.xbox.com/fixid." And it gives me two options 1. Change Parent Microsoft Account 2.
    Play Offline and when I select Change Parent Microsoft Account it freezes my 360. I don't know what to do.

    How to change the microsoft account associated with the parent account?

    What are you trying to do? Change the microsoft account of my parent account.

    Any error code/message you are receiving. None.

    Account region. USA

    What steps have you already tried? Family settings then to Remove Child Account (option isn't there).

    Note: I don't have access to the Xbox that has the parent account (that Xbox was sold). So, how can I change the Parent Account's Microsoft account? And is the parent account the gamertag or the microsoft account?

    I keep getting the same issue, no support pages have helped so far. I can't find any way to do this through the website instead of on the Xbox

    I had a chat session with the Support group and i'm hopeful that this will get sorted. The gentleman who I was chatting to was very helpful. I'll keep you all updated.

    I also tried chat support, I'm not really sure it got me anywhere cause I'm still stuck in my loop. Let me know if you had any luck.

    Just an update on this. Xbox support were able to correct this for me (or more specifically my son's account). I needed to push a bit but it is finally sorted out now. So for those experiencing a similar issue i recommend chat support, and keep following
    it up once you have a request number.
