Hello guys,

I got Minecraft Windows 10 Edition and wanted to play online, but I can`t play because I have to change the online settings and I can only change the settings (according to the support-post) when I change my gametag,
but I don`t like to change my name!!

can you help me there?

And when I must change my gametag is this only in xbox and minecraft or also in microsoft and minecraft java edition and skype?

hopefully you can help me and thank you in advance.

Asking for password every time I sign in.

It's possible that your account might be on "Lock Down." Here is a link about changing online safety and privacy settings through the Xbox One:

support.xbox.com/.../cannot-change-my-privacy-settings . This is for doing it on a computer:

You shouldn't need to change your gamertag to change online settings. You should be able to change them by going to account.microsoft.com then going to the both the Privacy and Security tabs to make any changes.

Ok i already did that but i have some problems.

When the hackers got into my account they litterally changed everything (and how they got into my account? I have 2FA ).

Second i created a new gametag whitout purchases or other things under this email and other.

I don't know what to do

This message means that you online safety and security settings are set to not allow you to play online multiplayer games.

If it had to do with your live subscription it would just take you to the purchase gold page.

I paid to change gametag but it was said "sorry it is reserved"! I do not receive my changed gametag nor a refund!

Thanks for your reply. Ive already change my password just in case and i have double authication already in place too.

The strange thing is my gametag hasnt change on xbox, this as expected. Its the account.xbox online where this is showing a different randam gametag. I've seen in other posts that this has happened to others.
