Change of email address to another Microsoft account

Hi

So just to confirm, there's nothing that can be done to simply amend the email address to a pre-existing one - my only choice is to create another new account?

This is an interesting question. We appreciate your wait in our response. Microsoft accounts offers a single sign-in to other Microsoft services, including Outlook.com, OneDrive, Skype and Xbox. To avoid any privacy or security breach to your data, changes to Microsoft accounts are all automatically handled and validated. We will not be able to manually make any changes to the account, but for now please allow me to provide you support about this issue.

Is the new Microsoft email address added as alias for your Xbox log-in?

Thanks for your quick response.

Unfortunately, you cannot combine those two Microsoft accounts.

Microsoft does not have tools to transfer data from one account to another.

Our suggestion too cannot be done on your @hotmail.com nor your @outlook.com account as this is already an existing email address that would access the Outlook mailbox.

What I can only suggest is to keep both of the accounts.
