Hello, I created a Xbox account a few years ago but since I was minor, we used my mother email account (microsoft account). Now it's been a few month that I'm on my own and I would like to receive all notifications/mails/factures and so on on my own email
address. How can I change the microsoft account linked to my Xbox account without completely erasing my mother address (cause that's the impression I get of what I'm doing when I'm using the help on the microsoft website....)

Hey there,

What you have changed is just your payment and billing contact e-mail. To completely switch your gamertag to a new Microsoft Account, you'll need to be on an Xbox 360 and follow the instructions
here.

Change of email address

I need to change my email adress as well. But I haven't been able to find where to do it. The reason for the switch is because my idiotic friend entered my email in to a bunch of spam sites and now I'm getting non-stop spam mail in my in box. The list gets
over 1000+ emails a day and that's with cleaning it out every morning. So I really need to get it switched over. Any help is great. Thanks.

Hi there! You would likely want to create a new Windows LIVE ID with the correct region that matches your physical location. There is no way to delete accounts outright, so you can leave your previous account as-is in case you ever return to the US.

And if @op if your account is less then 90days old then you must wait for the 90days

ALSO if you moved to.a non Xbox.live region it's best not to.migrate to your region until.it's supportrd

If it's Russia then no don't migrate as it's a banned.region atm

But I must warn you, there's a limit to change the region, once you change it you won't be able to change it back in a while. (6 months)
