Change My Gamertag to a promotional reserved one.

I have been after a gamertag for nearly 5 years now, checking the availability of it every 3-4 months. I have checked to see whose profile it related to and none have ever come up.

Today I decided to contact customer support about this as it may not seem like a large deal, however it is something I have always wanted.

The gentleman I contacted informed me it was a promotional gamertag used on the original xbox (not even the 360) and that I should contact you here.

Unfortunately, we do not have any options here on our end cause as mentioned. The said promotion is solely handled by the Promotional team. But you can reach them out to get more information about it and so that you can reserve the said gamertag
so that other players won't be able to take it from you.

that one and it will prompt you to a page where you can freely raise your concern and hit the submit button once your done and with in a couple of hours, you'll receive a reply from the said team and all information that you need will be provided



I have wanted the gamertag "LoneWolf" for a very very long time. Please help me change it to this, my OCD has troubled me for too long...

My current gamertag is and as TV's have gotten larger the zero and 2v's have become increasingly noticeable.

I just got finished talking to an agent and they told me to post in the Form. The previous owner of the Gamertag "Dan" change his name around 5:00 PM yesterday and no one yet has the Gamertag but it is reserved. I have enough money to change it right now
but I can't were its reserved. If the Gamertag "Dan" stays reserved for a week can you unreserve it for me so I can purchase and change my Gamertag to "Dan" if you need to contact me My Gamertag on Xbox one is "Danny Hits". Thank you for your time, bye.

Can someone please help me understand what a "reserved Gamertag is?" I want to change my Gamertag I'm willing to pay the money but the Gamertag I want is "reserved!" When I go to look up the Gamertag it doesn't exist... So is it available or not???

If the system says it's taken then it's taken

You will have to wait till they free it up there is no time line for that

What you have to understand is in order to add or search for a friend with the name you need the exact spelling

Otherwise you will find multiple people with all variations of the name

So for a example if you are looking for lonewolf but there is a gamer tag lone wolf it will not show up when you search but it will say it is taken

FYI it is taken as mentioned preeviously LoNe WoLf is the same as lone wolf and lonewolf or Lone Wolf

You will have to be more creatively with the spelling

Especially with that gamerscore

 

What if i were to contact the current owner of that tag and buy the tag off him? could i keep my profile and do so

 

Just offering to buy the tag would violate the code of conduct and would risk you being banned.
