Change language while maintaining the correct region.

So, I’m American but have been living in Europe for over a decade now. Due to this, I’ve always had my systems (PS3 / Xbox 360 and now PS4) in English while still being able to access my current regions store / marketplace.

For some reason this is not possible on the Xbox One. At first I thought this would merely be an issue for a couple of months, maybe a year. But we’re coming dangerously close to reaching this new gens second year and the issue remains.



This may seem like a “dumb complaint” but it is tremendously frustrating to have to change back and forth between language and region every time I want to access the marketplace and play a game. Especially considering that each change comes with a
full system re-boot.



Is there any information regarding this subject being addressed by Xbox in the future? I know that we aren’t a legion of people suffering this issue but I also know that I’m far from being alone.

Hey Silver. I would go to account.live.com and verify that your age is correct.

As for the language, check the
Region change support page, and make sure your region settings are correct.

Microsoft always frustrates with language problems with Xbox

Crass tone aside, ngocphi is correct. While the console's language setting can be altered under Settings, System, Console Settings, Language it's the physical region that you're located in that determines availability of content in languages as well as the
language of the Marketplace regardless of console setting.
