Change HDD from 20GB to 120GB

Hi

I have my xbox360 premium (the first model) with 20 GB HDD. Now I've purchased an official xbox360 120GB HDD. I would like to know which steps I have to follow to transfer all my saved games and purchased games from one disc to the other. I don't have the
transfer cable, so I would pass all the info trought a USB pendrive.

If nothing is on the old 20Gb HDD, then Format it and sell. But to be honest, I sold back both a old 20Gb and a 120Gb to Gamestop for a whopping $17. They gave me $10 for the 120Gb and $7 for the 20Gb.

 

Curious about transfer cables for harddrives

You can transfer HDD data from any two Xbox 360 consoles as long as you have sufficient space. For example you cannot transfer 120GB of memory to a 20GB HDD.

 

Plug in the USB drive (with the 20gb drive still attached), go to your settings and storage, then copy/move anything you want to transfer to the USB drive. Then swap the hard drives and do the same thing in reverse. Any games and content can be redownloaded
if you would rather go that route and just move games saves via USB.
