change gamerpic under 18

i made an xbox account when i was 10 and it is 7 years later and i would like to change my gamerpic but i cant because it says im not old enough i have tried to change my age and make account an adult but i still cant have a custom gamerpic i turn 18 soon
do i have to wait or is there something i can do now?

Can you upload your own gamer pics?

Not stupid at all.

Perfectly reasonable that under 18's can't upload a custom gamerpic.

Hey there!

You need to have an adult profile to change your Gamerpic. If you have an adult account you will need to provide a valid credit card on your account and make sure you're birthdate is 18. If your account was created by an adult account and are in a Xbox Family
only the adult account can promote you.

My parent account did change my status in Microsoft family to an adult but it still won’t work. Is this what you were saying? And also is there anyway to get a custom gamerpic if my set birthdate is under 18?

You would have to wait until the dob originally registered to the account when it was made would make you 18 years old and then you can make your account an adult account which will allow you to change your gamerpic.

Changing the DOB on your Microsoft account wont allow you to convert to an adult account earlier as the system it looks at only looks at the dob you put in when you made the account originally.

All you can do is wait.

You have to be 18 years or over to use custom gamerpics.

If the date of birth on the account is under 18 then there's nothing you can do.

Setting an account to adult wont change that,it's down to the date of birth on that account & that can not be changed.

because you need to be 18 to use the custom gamerpic

It doesn't matter what age you change it to

It goes by the original age not what it gets changed to later

If it is the oroginal.age you have to.remove your account from parental control under https//accounts.microsoft.com

If it isn't over 18 and no it can't be changed after the fact then the system will ask.gor another parental email
