Change Gamer Tag

Hello,

I setup my gamertag when I was 16. Now that I am 32 and have two children I feel it is not appropriate. I have been a loyal Xbox and Microsoft customer for many years. In fact I work for Accellis Technology Group (feel
free to check), a silver Microsoft partner (I'm working on making us Gold). I also have a Microsoft certification and plan on getting more.

I understand that it is 9.99 to change my tag. I really don't feel its fair to make me pay. Is there some collaborative solution we can reach so I can change my tag without being penalized? I would like it changed to Jroth2nd.

Help with changing gamer tag

i want to change my gt to TidalSnow but someone else has already got it and I don't want to replace one of the letters with numbers so if someone could suggest how I change it up a bit to use it that'd be great.

I've tried it with a space between as Tidal Snow but someone's got that too.

There is no way to get a free change. If you want to change your tag, you will have to pay.

 

This is terrible., I have been with MS for over 15 years and I resell the product. Is there anything you can do to help me? What would you do in this situation?

 

Sorry, but there is nothing else that can be done.

If I wanted to change my tag, I'd pay for it.

 

What is so complicated about this service that I'd have to pay $10 for it?

 

It's sort of to discourage people changing gamertags constantly. It's better than the alternative though. Other services don't allow name changes at all.
