Change email linked to XBOX/Microsoft account

I set up my Xbox/Microsoft account many moons ago with my old, very long, very childish email address.

When I tried changing the email linked to my account years ago, I was told I couldn't actually change it. I could only add my new email address to the account for verification purposes.

Annoyingly, my new email address also now has an xbox account linked to it, with a stupid, automatically-created username. (dont remember doing this)

1. How do I change the primary email on my main xbox account so that I can use my current email address to log in and thereby deleting the new xbox account that's not used - if that's now possible?

2. If not, how do I change the username on my new xbox account and is there any way possible to move all my achievements/game progress to my new xbox account?

You can't change the email linked to the Xbox account without changing the email of the Microsoft account, as the Xbox account it's part of the Microsoft account and the Microsoft account it's the email that has currently linked

The link you are using is only for the xbox 360 and will change the complete Microsoft Account
