Change email associated with gamertag but not microsoft email

Technically transfers cannot be do but you can change the email address associated with a microsoft account.

In order to associate the gamertag with another account you will need to create a whole account with an email address and then do the following to associate the gamertag to that account. How

Your Microsoft account is connected with email you sign into Xbox live with, as you know, as is your gamertag. I don't think the two can be separated. I may be wrong, so I'd contact xbox support either online or on the phone and text or speak with a real
person. Online you text with a live person 24/7, on the phone it's during business hours.

If I'm not mistaken, you can change the email associated with a Gamertag without losing anything.
