    Change email address associated with gamertag


    Is it possible to change the email address associated with your gamertag yet without an Xbox 360? I tried this over a year ago with no luck, but was wondering if Microsoft has fixed this. This is my situation:

    I have an Xbox One and am paying for Gold.

    I have my main Hotmail/Outlook email account that I use for email and for my Office 365 account, OneDrive, and Skype.

    I have a secondary Hotmail email account I set up over 10 years ago. When I got my Xbox 360 and created my gamertag, I used this email address.

    I want to move my gamertag over to my main email account now so that all my services are under one account.

    Please tell me there is a way to do this.

    Can you sign in Xbox live with a different E-mail account?

    yeah just create a new email address, go to xbox.com and change the email associated with your gamertag. heres the lnk for you.

    Gamertags are tied to a Microsoft account, so changing the email address associated with the Microsoft account will also change the email address associated with that gamertag. There's a guide on

    Change email address associated with gamertag

    If your email account was already registered as Microsoft account, you cannot also add this as again. You can only add an existing email address if it is not yet registered as Microsoft account.

    As an update, I've worked with support across Xbox and Microsoft and apparently there is no way to do what I want to do.

    I was shocked that at this time, you can't do something as easy as transfer a gamertag over to another Outlook account you already have.

    Hi, yes you can change details at: https://account.microsoft.com I would suggest adding your new email and leaving your old email active, till you have verified the changes.
