change email account- new email already has xbox membership

Hello,

just picked up windows 8 machine and created a new login. I did this because Microsoft email sucks and I forgot I had one setup for the xbox. I want to change my current gamertag over to this new email I created but I keep getting error 80154013
this account already has an xbox membership. how the hell do I get rid of this and associate this new email to my old gamer tag?

side note. stop using Silverlight, I know its hard to accept but no one uses it because its too invasive and also sucks.

Sorry for the double post, but since I figured that I needed a new account, I decided to create an email using the microsoft email. I created one, and tried again through my xbox to change it but it says it already has an xbox membership... But I had just

How to Change your Xbox LIVE account information

Overview

It is possible to change information associated with your Xbox LIVE account like your name, address, phone number or email address.

Note: You cannot change the country that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account. If you have moved to another country and you would like to access Xbox LIVE from there, you have to create a new Xbox LIVE account in your new location.

How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on Xbox.com

1) Go to My Account and Sign In with your Microsoft Account. (This is the email and password that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account).

2) Make the changes you want to your billings account information and then click Save.

How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on your console.

1) Sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

2) Proceed to Settings, and then select Account.

3) Select Your Information, and then go to Billing Information.

4) Sign In with your Microsoft account password.

5) Change your billing account information and then click Done.

In case you want to change the billing name on your Xbox LIVE account, go to Xbox.com

 

You'll first need to move the new Xbox profile onto another email address (Microsoft Account or MSA) in order to free up the MSA. This will allow you to move the old Xbox profile onto your new MSA.

Did not work. Error with no number. I wondered why people hated Microsoft, now I know. At least most of their software is pirated. So most are not getting ripped off
