Change childs gamertag through a web browser

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026796/microsoft-account-change-childs-xbox-privacy-online... These instructions
are completely useless. "Choose which Privacy tab you’d like to see, and change the settings on the tab." There are three tabs of privacy settings, each of which has 10+ settings per tab. None of the instructions tell you which of the 30 privacy settings
you need to change to allow you change a child's gamer tag. I tried changing the setting to "allow my child to make purchase" however I keep getting error codes.
Xbox Error Status Codes | Xbox Support - The error code page can not determine cause of any of the error codes. Here's the last error code:

    Purchase-3001

Sorry! No Support articles were found for "90a4683a".
Sorry! No Support articles were found for "e5b5".
This is ridiculous! I also want to note that the only reason I'm trying to change the gamertag is for their minecraft accounts. We do not have an Xbox One. Most of the instructions tell you to use your Xbox One which we don't have. The xbox app on Windows
10 will not allow you to change a child's account.

    :)

Unable to make paid change to child's gamertag?

    Hi onyxisphere

Thank you for your input, but the settings page is where I have been removing the restrictions as already described - I have tried doing so both from the console and online in a web browser. I am able to make permissions changes and can get as far as selecting
a new gamertag for the child account but I cannot make payment.

Are you on a child account? Your parent may have to update the parental settings.

You may do this on the Xbox One console or on Xbox.com using a web browser on your computer.

To change the child account's privacy settings using a web browser, kindly perform the following steps:

    1. Sign in to the
      Xbox settings page
      with the parent's Microsoft account.
    2. Choose the gamertag for your child’s account.
    3. Choose which XBox One/Windows 10 Online Safety tab and change the following settings to Allow in the tab.
    4. You can play with people outside of Xbox Live
    5. You can create and join clubs
    6. Make sure to Save before exiting or switching to another tab. Then, have your child sign in and sign out of their account to have the changes take effect.

Why Can't I Change my Gamertag?

Hi ! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

Would be neccesary to have more information about the situation as the error message that appears when you try to changed to be able to help

Change your gamertag through a web browser
    Here’s how:

Go to the Change gamertag page at account.xbox.com.
Sign in using the Microsoft account email address and password associated with your gamertag.
Enter your new gamertag, and then select Check Availability.
Once you find an available gamertag, click Claim it.
As I've already mentioned, I've done these steps numerous times. And when after checking the availability, then clicking the "change gamertag", nothing happens, nothing changes. I've done this in 2 different desktop web browsers, on my phone, and on the Xbox. Nothing works.

    CHANGE CHILD ACCOUNT GAMERTAG

Make sure that you are signed in with the child's account during the process.

If necessary, open up a new browser window using the "incognito" or "private window" function of your browser.

Then, with your child's account signed in, you should be able to change the gamertag.

Cannot upload custom gamerpic 'there was a problem'

I've tried from the console and from a web browser.

The mobile and Windows 10 app only have change gamertag or change colour in the 'customise' menu, no change gamerpic option that I can see.
