    So I downloaded my old gamertag onto my boyfriend's xbox and I wanted to change my avatar. When I went to do so it prompted me with a message saying I needed to update my avatar clothes and accessories. There wasn't really any option to avoid it and so now
    I am sitting at a loading screen with a bar that hasn't even moved yet for the past 10 minutes. I have: checked internet connection: good, restarted system: done that, signed in and out: yep, and still nothing.. I came across a forum where someone had the
    same issue before a few years back, and another person offered deleting any downloads. Which there isn't any on mine because my account has just now been updated to xbox live. I am thinking I may need to make another account because this avatar/gamertag is
    so old it could just be corrupted for some reason.

    I wanna know if anyone else has been experiencing this issue too. Maybe I will just wait for new update for microsoft to fix it?

    Thanks for the input. Why didn't/don't Respawn just set the it to 720p instead of 792p? Surely when upscaled to 1800p there is no difference?

    I have mine set to 720 and bar jumping out the ship at the beginning tearing seems to be rare (that I notice) which I assume is better than the 1080 folks who seem to see loads.

    I have no idea what reservation is left for scaling as it is software done I believe, so downscaling is probably far easier than upscaleing so perhaps the engine has more allocated cycles and thus tears less. PC change the internal resolution they render at so it's not impossible the game does something similar but hugely unlikely.

    It's possible the scaling process really exaggerates the tears themselves so far more noticeable.

    This is just the sort of question the Digital foundry team should be looking into, not how the Xbox stacks up with a PC and call it a next gen comparison. This is real news folks would want to know.

    Try clearing your cache .Go to settings/storage/harddrive then press y to perform maintenance.It only takes 2 seconds to finish.

    Make a change to your avatar, save and try playing again.

    Note Any avatar change will do because the change causes the service to sync your account for your profile.

    Launch the Xbox Avatar Editor app.

    Xbox Avatar Editor

    Sign in and make any change to your avatar.

    Select Save.

    I don't think Avatars are changing, just the gamerpics. I certainly don't remember hearing anything about avatars changing

    You can change the color of your Avatar's skin by going to the My Xbox row, select your Avatar Tile, select Customize Avatar, and select Change My Features. There should be an option here for skin color.

    Of course, if the avatar is the issue, why not just change it in the Avatar Editor and/or change the gender. You also have the option to change your gamertag at anytime. It is free the first time you change it and 800msp after that.
