    Hi,

    So, long story short I have an outlook account that I've been using to play at friends xbox's. I recently purchased an xbox one x for myself and I completely spaced out and registered it with a hotmail account, which is my main personal email address, I
    even used the gamepass and gold codes it came with.

    A friend and I are going to go halfsies on gamepass and we wanted to share it using my account and that's when I realised I used my hotmail instead of outlook that I was using solely for xbox stuff. I don't trust him enough to give him my hotmail password,
    so my question is, is there any way to transfer my gamepass and gold from my hotmail to my outlook?

    I know I could just used my outlook but I still have over 20 days of gamepass and over 10 of gold from the code the xbox came with.

    I sold my brother my Gears Xbox One S along with my external HDD which had all my games on it. He'll have to use my account to play, right? I'm wondering if he could change my account's gamertag and email and make it his own and when I get another Xbox, can I reclaim my Mosh1mo name if he changed the gamertag from that name? Sorry for the confusing questions. Just wondering what my options are. I'll probably have to start all over, huh?

    It becomes available. Again though, you can just set the console as your home console. Then he can access the games from his own account and you'll still have the games for when you get a new console.

    hello Jane,

    Thanks for bringing question to the forums. Unfortunately, there is no way to transfer the gold and game pass. You could however add the account to the console and share it to the other accounts. When it runs out then just purchase on the outlook account.
    being you don't want friend to know password etc. You can add the account to your console set as home then share the gold and game pass with your account. This wont however help your friend with it.

    Hi, unfortunately you can't transfer from one account to another. Once activated on the account you are using, thats where it will stay. "Sharing" can also get you into a mess as it violates the code of conduct and has resulted in Enforcement actions.

    If you are over 18 years old you can
    promote your child account to adult    . However, if you are not over 18 there is nothing you can do.

    Also, if you are part of the family gold pack and are over 18 please be aware that all sub accounts on the family pack are considered child accounts while they are part of that package. The only way to get around that for your account is to have it removed
    from the family pack. If you are and choose to be removed, you will retain your gold status and can be re-added after 5 days.

    If you click the link in my previous post it takes you to the number for your country/region. I know you can't use the contact us option due to updating your security proofs.

    The reason they gave it a month to change the security information is for unauthorized access cases. They can't tell when an account has been taken due to an old e-mail possibly being compromised. The only way you'll be able to cancel your subscription is by
    contacting phone support directly.

    If you downloaded your account in the last 30 days it can trigger that message. If you have downloaded the profile onto any console, you must wait 30 days afterwards to change the Microsoft Account.
