Chang email address used to sign in on XBOX with out losing game data

I can still sign onto my xbox live and play and all but I just want to make sure that my old email address is not used any more and any emails are sent to my new email address. I am also worried if i do create a new microsoft account and change it on my
console, i will lose all my saved data and downloads,

Note that if you remove an email adresse from a MS domain (@live, @outlook, @hotmail) the email alias will be completely deleted.

I would suggest using a Hotmail email address for your account. This would not change when changing ISP's and thus no loss of data, or gamer score (which would only happen if you had to create a new account or had your score reset).

You can create a new email address and link it to your existing account with out loosing anything. You then create an alternate account with Hotmail or Gmail or Yahoo if you wish and use that for the security update.

This can all be done easily with out lose of any data or gamerscore

Unfortunately there is no possible way to transfer the games progress and data for Xbox Profile to another account. Xbox Gaming service is like any other Microsoft Service( skype, Office...) they are all linked to one Microsoft account.

Therefore; the closest solution you get is to change the email address for the Account. Your friend must add another email as an alias, and then make that alias as a primary signing email. But your friend
must NOT remove or delete the original email. Otherwise, she will lose everything related to that account.

Part 1:

a) Log in to your Microsoft account.

b) Go to the "Your info" page and select "Edit name, email, and phone."

c) Change the name and email address to your son's name and email address. Make sure to set his email address as the primary email address.

d) Save the changes.

Part 2:

a) Create a new Microsoft account with your name and email address.

b) Sign in to your Xbox console with your new Microsoft account.

c) Set up a new Xbox profile and link it to your new Microsoft account.

d) You will lose all your data on the old Xbox profile, but your son's profile and data will remain intact.

e) Remove any devices tied to the old Microsoft account and add them to your new account.



Please note that changing the email address associated with a Microsoft account will not affect the Xbox profiles, games, and data.
