    Certain games crashing to dashboard on XSX


    I keep my XSX on my desk with plenty of room on all sides. Never play for more than a few hours at a time. But certain games, like Madden 21 (XSX version) and The Division 2 will just randomly freeze and either force me to manually quit the game or it will crash to dashboard.

    Is this a hardware issue or software? I really hope that this console crashing gets straightened out. Bad enough all we have to play are old generation games.

    Xbox one X game crashes.

    I'm sorry to hear that. My One X crashes sometimes too and closes the game out and puts me back on the dashboard but it only seems to happen during certain games. How many different games have you tried this with, that makes it crash?

    I have the same issue for the last few days Microsoft reward app times out on XSX, bing is dodgy and could not get a game pass game past the loading screen (The walking dead final season). All worked fine on Xbox one x but it seems to be broken since the dashboard update on the XSX.

    Assuming you bought it with the first account, are any messages coming up when it crashes or does it go directly back to the dashboard? I've had similar problems with certain games and I've found uninstalling and reinstalling usually fixes it.

    I am experiencing frequent crashes whilst using Skype on my Xbox Series X, the issue seems occur 20 minutes into a single session OR every time I join a group video call.

    This issue is definitely related to the XSX Operating System or the Skype app, I can say that because the issue occurs even after a factory reset of the XSX and occurs on both of my XSX consoles.
