Discus and support CD Tray locked in open position. in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Xbox 360 disc tray was open and probably pushed to one side. Now tray is locked in open position.     CD Tray locked in open position.


    Xbox 360 disc tray was open and probably pushed to one side. Now tray is locked in open position.

    Any idea how to repair it? Looks nothing has been broken.

    Alternatively how much the repair would cost and how to get servise in Ireland contacted? ( there is some issue with the web page as impossible to add Names and request call back)

    Disc drive problem

    My Xbox console doesn't read any cd , it first displays "Reading" and then it says "Open tray" for every CD.

    SR3 keeps freezing within a couple of minutes into the game

    After about 2 months of 100% Problem Free playing, I am now Experiencing The XBOX360 displaying problems loading the actual GAME CD...... IE: The Actual Loading Screen says "OPEN TRAY" Even though the the Saints Row 3 Game CD is in the Disk Tray....
    After opening & Closing the tray Several, Several, Several Times, the Sainst Row 3 Game finally loads..... I do believe this to be a separate issue, I did want to mention this to the forum...

    Xbox scratches games

    If the scratch is circular, check the CD tray for foreign matter and possibly a plastic burr on the tray. Use a clean lint free cloth to gently wipe the tray. There could be a grain of sand(or salt) or other similar small object on the tray that is scratching
    the disks as the disk comes to a stop on the tray after spinning.

    If the scratch is straight across the disk, open the tray and carefully look in the open slot (us flashlight if needed) for a foreign object or plastic burr and wipe clean with a clean lint free cloth.

    when powered off, tap the eject button, the console will power up and the tray will open, place the burnt cd in with the update and it should detect it

    Disc tray doesn't always open & Xbox stays running once switched off.

    The tray is not a common problem, sometimes depending on if you banged the xbox around too much the optical drive can align it's self in a weird position where it may have problems opening up the disc tray.
