it is safe to buy CD Keys ?, to some friends it has worked without problems.

For the low price I'm worried about my console.

All i can offer is info

Look up (key resellers) on Google and comb through various points be sure to look at both view points as to allow for an informed choice

 

I bought Assassin's Creed Unity a while back and had no problems. I do not know if there has been any change in the site or Microsoft's policy for this type of acquisition, but for the amount of promotions I've seen today, I do not think there will be any
problems.

 

Personally, I don't use them, my time and money is precious. I've heard to much and I don't want to take a liability on it.

Well it matters a lot which game key you buy and where you get your key from

Sometimes people just sell the keys included in their bundle (that's one reason why you can buy AC:Unity keys for 1-2$)

But there are also scams, stolen keys etc!

so at the end you got no guarantee!

Those sites are pretty "gray market". For the overall security of your account, I wouldn't recommend it.

Those sites are comprised of individual resellers who have a bunch of unused Xbox codes on hand to resell. The real risk comes from how they acquired those codes, because a few resellers out there bought the codes with stolen credit card info. When
that happens, the actual owner of the credit card will eventually see those fraudulent charges on their bank statement, call the bank to dispute charges, and initiate a chargeback. When a chargeback reverses the payment made to Microsoft, Microsoft checks
for any and all Xbox accounts associated with the code: likely who bought it and who redeemed it - and bans those accounts permanently for "Marketplace Theft". Granted, those CD Key sites remain in business because the risk is small, but
the risk is still there.

If you want my opinion, buy digital games through the Microsoft Store when they go on a good sale price. Or, find used games on a disc through places like eBay, Craigslist, Mercari, and etc - you can always resell them when you're done. I prefer the latter
method!
