CD Drive will not read

Hey everybody. My DVD rom drive will not read the disks. This is a new Xbox just bought a few months back. Sometimes when I turn it on with the disk in the drive it just says open drive then when you open and close the drive it still does not want to read
the disk. Sometimes it will but then just black screen on Battlefield 4 and nothing.

This is the E series.

Dont know what to do or if there is still a hardware warranty on it.

CD Wont read if in drive when Xbox turns on?

Have a weird issue with my Xbox 360...

If I have the CD in the drive and turn it on, it will not read it, I have to take the CD out, turn off the xbox 360 and turn it back on, then put the CD in and it reads fine.

Any suggestions?

lol, and now the cd drive wont read games or movies.....bahahahahahaha

 

I went through some testing the Live wanted me to do then I finally figured out how to get service on my E series. I sent it in the mail and was told that it would likely get replaced with a refurbished one. It come with a 1 year warranty on it for parts
and labor. It was not easy to find but the link to get service is on the live page. You first have to register your device with the serial number while sighed into your live account. Computer not console.

 

Normally company with replacement will sent a refurbished one, they are not really replacing it with a new one..

 

Same situation is being faces with MT new Xbox one!!
