cc payment State/Province problem

This goes to all people living outside the US who cannot purchase with a cc due to the State/Province problem.

After the usual 2 hours going back and forth between the microsoft & xbox accounts, and changing all settings that could possibly exist in this universe, the solution actually is quite simple.

Right before the page where you enter your cc details (where it is shown the different subscription types in US dollars) you go to the very bottom of the page and change the country to your country of residence. Once done you'll see the language and currency
will change and the state/province problem vanishes for ever. You might have to do the same thing with your microsoft account.

Same problem. Microsoft really doesn't give a ***. That thread was 2 years old and nothing's been changed. Baffling that this company wanted to go all digital this generation when they are this slow to fix known issues. We don't live in a bloody third world
country.

commerce.microsoft.com

This is actually caused when the regions of your account/physical location and billing do not match. As you can see, when you correct it to your proper region, the store works as intended. For best results, make sure you keep your regions set to your physical
location!

Creditcards will not allow purchases from outside the billing region

Your account info and billing info must match so using a non us creditcard won't work on an us account as mentioned above or any other region

Your account region must reflect your actual and billing location

If you don't live in an xbox one supportwd region you can't use it

 

Thank you for the solution... I was going crazy. Billing and account were setup correctly but the page was set to US.

 

I don't think you get the issue you need to work with support

This means you have a split billing issue

If you have your console set to the us that would be why

You must have it match your creditcard info

However you will be limited to your regions content

When usingIive your account use reflect your actual region

So if you are in China but want us content you can't use a Chinese creditcard on an us console setting

You would have to use the Chinese setting

 

The console setting is independent of xbox.con website

It's only whe. You are trying to access xbox 360 content that the account region comes into play because you are trying to access us content not intended for your region

That would be the issue

You need a Saudi Arabia billing info not a us info

 

For the best experience with xbox live your billing region and actual region and account region must match

Your billing payment option maybe us but your creditcard isn't that's the issue
