    Cause of fallout4 hard freezing downtown boston.


    Try telling your companion to stay or go home. The area that was freezing fanuel hall, combat zone, Quincy, will no longer freeze or crash. The second you try it again with companions the freezes will come back.

    Companions are causing game freezing crashes. Not mods or anything else. This is why even with no shadows or godrays it still crashes. Its not GPU related. The companion ai is locking up the system.

    I have tested many hours multiple fresh games no mods installed

    I can only get to fanuel hall without a companion, i tried... Many times.

    Id rather have my companion go dumb for a min then the game crash fix this.

    there are certain parts of downtown Boston that are notorious for freezing/crashing.

    Not using any mods. At first it would freeze any time i was in the downtown commonality area but now it does it randomly at various locations.
