    Casting YouTube from Mobile to Xbox


    Using the Xbox One X

    Every time for over a year now when I cast YouTube to my Xbox from mobile the Closed Captions will turn on.

    I have gone through settings and have them off, but after connecting, after an ad plays, and sometimes complete random the CC are on and I have to turn them off again.

    I have even tried using three different phones but that didn't help the situation.

    Is this just a YouTube app issue on the Xbox, some weird communication because of casting? I'm at a loss.

    Hi Aut!

    I believe that was only a video casting from YouTube. If your phone and your console share the same network, the option for casting video will be available to your YouTube app on bigger screen like Xbox.

    You can try it now. Simply watch any video from YouTube on your mobile and there's a cast icon (looks like a screen with wireless signal) you can click and choose the device that appears there which should be your Xbox console. Just make sure your YouTube app on your Xbox is opened.

    Try turning off Bluetooth on your mobile device. Logging out of youtube on your mobile device should also work. If needed you can always uninstall youtube from your xbox one or mobile phone.

    They are referring to the Local Cast app for Android. I am also having this problem not only woth local cast but any app that has the casting ability. Netflix, youtube, etc... are no longer seeing the xbox one on the cast to device list like it used to.
    Was there an update that removed this feature of casting directly to the xbox??
