Cast to device buffers ever 5 seconds

The shout not working happens to me too. Sometimes it does it after I've been casting a spell (even though I'm no longer casting it), I have to wait about 5 seconds before it works. And no, I don't have it installed to the HDD.

no... I was referring to my torren downloads. The Xbox still won' stream smoothly.

I did restart the hardware to reset the arp cache. There was a traffic shaping policy a while back, but I don't notice it anymore (avid torrent downloader). Traffic shaping should not affect xbox live traffic, since my ISP supports Xbox Live. However,
I am downloading at full potential right now and I do not see any shaping policy.

Zero G: I assign all IP's on my network static because I'm old school like that. Dynamic or Static should make no difference. Yes, dynamically assigned address will work. Just because you have a strict or moderate NAT does not mean you can not connect to
live.

Charming Baker: UDP packets require no handshake, therefore my download speed is sufficient for streaming video and the buffering issue should have no relation to my slow upload rate. 6Mbps down should be adequate for smooth video. You may have answered my
question. I suspect the live servers do not have the required bandwidth to serve everyone smoothly. As for "who wants to watch xbox ads anyway", this comment is irrelivent, and sometimes I do want to watch trailers for upcoming games.

I appreciate your responces, I am a comm. sys. tech. I am fully aware of all your suggestions. I guess I was looking for a confirmation of bandwidth requirements to recieve uninturupted streaming video via xbox dash. My suspicions lead me to believe it is
not a problem on my end.

Hmm, gotcha. We don't have a firm suggestion for speeds for LIVE, but some of our streaming partners do. For example, Netflix requires 5 mbps for a HD stream. So I see that your speeds should be good for that. I know this one's a pretty basic step but
I do want to confirm- have you tried turning off other devices on the network when you stream? It could be that other high-bandwidth activities (such as torrents) could be causing the slow connection.
