Casing of Gamertag

Hello, I'd desperately like to change the casing of my gamer tag from "superblydone" to "SuperblyDone". I want the "S" and "D" capitalized for better readability. I've talked to support via chat and phone and I was told this is the only group with the power
to change gamertags. I will gladly pay the fee if I have to. I just want to get this done. I've tried using the console but it says "gamertag already exists", which makes sense because its my existing gamertag. Like I just explained I would like to only change
the casing.

Hello, is it possible to change the letter casing on my gamertag? My gamertag was made years ago and its bugged me for ages that the "z" is undercase and I didn't notice when I made the account. So was hoping the z in my gamertag could be capitalized.

 

Sorry, but phone and chat support are incorrect. There is no one here the has the power to change the case of a gamertag. In order to change the case you would have to change your gamertag to something else, and then change it back (paying both times).

 

I actually may still do it... it bothers me that much. Question.... if I do proceed with your suggestion won't I be blocked from changing it back to a previous gamer tag? Isn't there some kind of period where old gamertags cannot be recycled until x amount
of time has passed?

 

Changing the tag will free it up for use again although it may not be instant. I'm not sure exactly how long it takes for that. I've heard anywhere from 24 hours to 45 days.

 

Ah, not what I wanted to hear. I guess I will stick with the LCase. Hopefully one day XBOX will allow people to change the casing without it being such a big ordeal.
