Case review

My son, Luke Sanderson has been suspended from communication on xbox live for the next 7 days. I am his mother Carolyn. We have absolutely no idea as to why he has been suspended and would like to know the reason as to why this is and who has reported
him. He has done nothing different to any other time he has been on his xbox and has only played with the same friends that he normally plays with. He knows the Code of Conduct and Terms of Use and follows these religiously. On the day that the suspension
occurred, he only played Monopoly with his friend! He is 14 and his xbox is his life! This is extremely frustrating for him and for me as we can only think that his account may have been hacked or someone has accidentally got the wrong account.

I have had a live chat with the support people on 2 occasions and have also followed the instructions on Submitting a Case Review, however there is nowhere on the enforcementxbox.com site to 'Apply for a Review' after highlighting the suspension reasons
in yellow, or any 'green arrow icon' to press. Hence this post to yourselves.

Please can you let us know why this suspension has occurred and who has reported it. This is very alarming as my son is now worried that if someone does this again, he will be suspended indefinitely. This may be the case if someone has a grudge against
him. These are therefore my reasons as to finding out why and who has done this. It is indirect bullying.

Communication suspensions are imposed due to inappropriate conduct during communication activities on Xbox Live. This suspension blocks an account from accessing any communication features on Xbox Live, including text messages, voice messages, video communications,
Skype on Xbox One, in-game chat, and party chat. Communications suspensions are issued for a specified temporary duration, often of 1, 7, or 14 days.

A common misconception is that a certain number of reports will result in an automatic suspension. According to the myth, even if you haven’t done anything wrong someone can get you suspended by encouraging players to file many complaints. This is completely
untrue.
