    Case review overturned


    My case review was overturned recently and I was told that I would get a free name change and my old gamertag would be available within 24 hours. It has now been almost 36 hours and I cannot change my gamertag nor can I use my old gamertag. I am wondering
    what is going on here.

    Case Review: Overturned?

    so I recently had my gamertag changed by Xbox because it was reported for no good reason. So I submitted a case review. They overturned my case review and said I was good to go in the next 24 hours and I could change back my name free of charge. Yet every
    time I tried to change my name, it tried to charge me for it. Any help? Did the enforcement team not hold up their end of what they told me?

    permanent ban lifted, still cant use my xbox

    If the overturn decision came from a case review, then that review was only for the account ban, not both.

    When you submitted it, did it actually say it was a case review or feedback? Typically with a case review the case would either be Overturned (meaning they lifted the suspension) or Upheld (meaning the suspension would continue).

    What information is given about enforcement actions

    It's actually pretty rare that they get overturned. So you should be able to see why you were issued the suspension when it's fixed, but even with the case review, it's not a guarantee it would be overturned.

    Device banned for harassment abuse and threats yet I haven't done any of those things

    You can view your ban by logging in at enforcement.xbox.com and file a case review if eligible. However if you have a console ban there is no case review option. Device bans are permanent and cannot be overturned.
