I just bought a Xbox live card today and I redeemed it on my console. The card was redeemed and it states i'm a gold member yet i can't use any gold features like making parties or going online. Please help; i will be so frustrated if my £15 is wasted.

Hi Support. I Redeemed An Xbox Live Gold Card And Once It Has Been Redeemed It Says I Have Xbox Live But When I Go Onto Xbox Live In Games It Says Pay For Xbox Live Gold. Please Help Thank You!

Wait so you get 2 free games every month even if you stop paying for Gold??

Yeah, unless something has changed recently, you get to keep your Xbox 360 gold games.

But the Xbox One gold games you need to have an active subscription.

Here it is from the official Xbox site:

What happens to my Games with Gold games if I cancel my Xbox Live Gold subscription?

On Xbox One, you’ll no longer be able to access your Games with Gold titles if you cancel your subscription. However, if you decide to renew your subscription at any time, you’ll be able to access and play your previously redeemed Games with Gold titles again.

On Xbox 360, any Games with Gold titles that you redeem as an Xbox Live Gold member are yours to keep, regardless of whether you continue your subscription.Click to expand...

It can take up to a few hours to register. If you redeemed it on the console, it's usually instantaneous, but online can take a bit of time. Check later, if nothing changes, you may want to redownload your profile to refresh it.

Hi there,

normally clearing the cache of the console will update the subscription on your console with the latest status. To do so, go to settings - system - storage - highlight a storage device and press Y. Restart the xbox console afterwards

Further to WPAK's suggestion, if you try a network connection test, that can sometimes kick it into gear and update the subscription for you so that you can go about using the Gold features.

Sorry to hear about the Xbox Live Gold issues.

The prepaid card you mentioned. Is this a card to redeem Xbox Live Gold? If yes, did it say it was successfully redeemed?

I'm asking you this because your gamercard shows that you're still a Xbox Live Silver member.
