Carcassonne - trouble with local multiplayer

Even though the FAQ says "

Playing a multiplayer Xbox 360 game on Xbox One

If a game supports multiplayer play on the same console, you'll be able to add a second player to the game as you would normally do within a game on the Xbox 360."

It's not working - 3 of us have our own controller, but only one profile shows up, and none of us may select "guest" because it's not an option. When we go to the guide, there is only 1 profile to choose from, and I don't think we're able to set up new 360
profiles.

How can Carcassonne local multiplayer work? thanks.

Is there place on a console for a turn based game?

There are games like Carcassonne and Settlers of Catan on Xbox 360 which are truly turn based and can be played local or online multiplayer - I'm hoping some of those same style games come to X1, as well as somewhat more complicated games like you're talking
about.

 

I'm having trouble finding a list of local multiplayer games for xbox one

I'm having trouble finding a list of local multiplayer games for xbox one through out the internet. I was very disappointed in halo 5 not having split screen. im moving away from halo now and trying to find a list games with split screen or local multiplayer.
It isn't easy to find.. it is exhausting actually trying to go site after site trying to find a list.. PS4, xbox 360, PS3 local multiplayer list but no xbox one. Does any one have a full list of local multiplayer games or site I can check it out. I starting
to feel I chose the wrong console.
