    Capturing/recording gameplay on the Series X.


    So I recently purchased a series x(about 2 weeks ago) and have had a problem with recording gameplay. My problem is that 90% of the things I have recorded have no sound present when I view them later on.

    Is there a fix for this issue at the moment? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    By default, it records that last 30 seconds when you use the Kinect ("Xbox record that") or use the X button on your controller. However, you can adjust how much gameplay time is captured in settings on your console.

    Are you referring to the limit on the Series X/S?

    In the Settings menu on your console, select Preferences, and find and select Capture & Share. This allows you to change the recording length, resolution, capture location etc. Changing these allow you to get up to 3 mins of recording.

    Are you wanting to record shows from the TV, or gameplay?

    If it's gameplay, you would need an external video capture device and software to record the gameplay.

    If it's TV programs, no. Live TV cannot be recorded from an Xbox One.
