    Capped data usage problem. Please help.


    Ok so I don't get high speed where I live. So I use a Verizon 4g jetpack to play. I've been using it for over 3 years now. Works great. For some reason starting yesterday my data was through the roof and I don't know why. Gaming does not use a lot of data.
    So I reset everything. And start it back up and go into settings. And go to data usage. To see 13 mb a second being used for literally no reason. I wasn't even doing anything. Had nothing running. Any other time its kb a second being used. Even while gaming.
    Which is why I've been able to get away with having a capped usage a month. Can anybody help me with this. What would be causing this?

    Hotspot data usage

    Maybe you could give us an hint of how much mobile data usage you can access on a monthly basis, before your usage is being capped/shaped/downgraded?

    How much mobile data usage do you normally have on a monthly basis (hotspot/sharing excluded)?

    Casting Video From PC to XBOX One - Using Data

    It shouldn't be using Internet at all and thus should not be using data from your ISP.

    Does your ISP have some sort of data usage tracker? I would hope they do if they are imposing data caps.

    Oh so your one of the people who lag in games and pown gamers with crap connection speeds playing on cell phones. Shouldn't be allowed to play on LIve and MS needs to stop favoring the laggers. Anyways even cable providers are breaking the Net Neutrality
    laws and putting caps on their services anyways. Even your unused usage is not carried over to the next and next months. They reset every month bill cycle. This is all illegal un the Net Neutrality act. Contact Obama that congress is doing nothing to follow
    the laws. They hate the black guy in office so bad they are breaking the laws anyways.

    I'm not playing on a phone? And I don't lag or lag for anybody else. 18mb a sec down and 4 up is plenty to play on live especially if there's dedicated servers your just bad at the games

    Be careful if you call cust support. They do not support hot spot type devices and will have little if any troubleshooting.

    My xbox downloaded red dead redemption by itself and its saying ISP fees may apply what does this mean?

    its a term from older days which most do not need to worry about, it is about data usage, most people these days have unlimited data, for those that do not means they could go over the data cap and incur fees from their isp for the extra data usage.
