New Strider Hiryu game revealed

New Strider revealed for Xbox One, PS4 - Xbox One News at GameSpot

At Comic-Con, Capcom has announced that they are teaming up with developer Double Helix and are working on a new Strider Hiryu game that is set to be released in early 2014. The game is described as being non linear and similar to a Castlevania game. The game is set to be released on PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360. No word if it will be released on a Nintendo console.

 

Strider Hiryu game could be released on Wii U if demand is high enough.

Recently, Capcom announced that they are teaming up with developer Double Helix in order to release a new Strider Hiryu game sometime early next year. The problem with for Wii U owners is that the game was announced for every other console but that. Now it seems that not all hope is lost, as the head of Double Helix has now stated that if their is a demand for the game, than it is possible it could be released on the console.

I guess it might be fun but I'm not really a fan of cheap little games but I'll admit sometimes you get some really good ones.

"Pinball FX" is amazing and if more arcade games were like that I'd probably have a different view of Arcade Games but they're not.



"Adventure Time" is pretty bad. My daughter loves "Adventure Time" but even she thinks this is boring.

If the OP's title raises the bar for Arcade titles that's not a bad thing really.

 

Eagerly awaiting this Strider game...I loved Strider on the Sega Genesis and i get goosebumps just thinking of playing it again.I haven't heard if it's a HD remake of the great past Strider games or a completely new game but as long as they stick to the
core of what Strider was than it should be a nice treat.

 

From the peeks I've seen I was expecting retail. This'll be day 1 for me. It's a "reboot" Same thing only different but closer to the Arcade/Genesis version than the NES.

 

I remember the all the hype for the original Strider release on Genesis! It was a fun game, but I remember it falling a little short of my expectations. The new game seems like it will be the best title yet in the series. It has been too long since we've
had a good Capcom release....

 

Holy old school Batman, is this the same Strider from like '91? Ehhh.....What other "new" releases we getting next, Joust....RC Pro Am?? Guess the more things change, the more they stay the same.

 

A buddy of mine told me about that little error to get this game last week for free.....so I did it, and then found out that it was a glitch that could lead to bannings so I very quickly deleted it....and I tried buying it when it actually released. It downloaded
again, but just kept saying "Do you own this game?" and directs me to the purchase screen again...

 

It's a fantastic game, good enough to the point I'm surprised Double Helix made it. This and Killer Instinct almost make me wish MS had snagged a publishing agreement as it seems they can do great things when given the chance.
