Capcom Street Fighter no for XBOX ONE

Capcom have been in all kinds of trouble lately. They need some kind of pick-me-up and I hope this works for them. Because let's face it... a bunch of their recent games haven't done well at all.

Western developers are almost dominating every genre now. Even the most popular recent fighters are coming out of studios like Nether Realm with Injustice and Mortal Kombat. Just look at EVO and MLG and the crowds around these titles.

J-RPGs are becoming the last holdout and that's probably because Western devs aren't trying to make them. lol

Namco's last Soul Calibur was made at the behest of a group of fans on Facebook, and its overall lack of content showed how much Namco didn't want to make it. Tekken is a rock, paper, scissors fighter too, and...

... Street Fighter has fallen from grace as consumers are getting a little too savvy for new editions of the same games with palette-swapped characters and a few new flashing and noisy modes that are ignored online. Fighters also lacking a quality single-player
experience too, now that Nether Realm has changed all that. Sticking the word Super/Ultra/Mega onto something doesn't cut it any more.

Street Fighter ain't the draw it used to be. Awesome franchise, but c'mon... it needs all the customers it can get, so the Sony supplements had better be worth it. =)

This is a fatal blowout. Street Fighter is strong and now everyone will buy PS4 for this new series of a popular competetive fighting game.

 

I don't see anyone buying a PS4 just for Street Fighter...Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us 2 i could easily see. I'll gladly take a Soul Calibur or Tekken game over Street Fighter anyday so don't give up your hopes people.
