Can't watch shows offline???

My internet at home is very limited so I only go online when I'm updating or purchasing stuff. I just purchased (for the first time) a series of a show I wanted to watch. After this purchase, it told me that to access it, I needed to download the Microsoft
films and tv application.... Ok... When I finally whent back offline, it showed the series as present, but that I just could not access it. I tried clicking on it a few time but it wouldn't even say that I needed internet to access it... Wouldn't even react
to my action. Is there a way that I don't need to be online to watch or is it mandatory????

The problem could be that the app that you're trying to use could require internet to stream the video to you from a source point. Like say if you used Netflix you'd have to contact their server through the internet to access things. So maybe the video
is stored with Microsoft and has to have internet to send it to you.

Some streaming apps requires internet connection to make it work there is no other way around

Currently there is no way to download movies or shows on the xbox, but because you purchased it on your Microsoft account you can download those episodes on a PC or laptop, You can then using an HDMI connect your computer to your TV and watch shows that
way it's a bit of a work around solution.

streaming anything requires internet, will be the same for any series streaming app

It sounds like you would need internet to stream your shows. Have you considered upgrading your ISP?
