Can't watch "Nightfall"

And you might say that we all agreed to a "no refunds on digital purchases" term under our contract to use the xBox LIVE service, but you cannot enforce a contract which has no performance under law. To wit: any contract which includes the term that if
agreed upon goods or service (which are being sold or exchanged for monies or value) are not performed/delivered/rendered/etc., even if agreed to by all parties to the contract, is by law an illegal contract and is therefore void and unenforceable and therefore
has no performance under law (ie - it cannot be used to refuse a refund). It's a simple and basic tenet of all contract law going back hundreds of years and is in fact the origin of the term "Black letter law," having been the key point in a landmark legal
decision by Justice Black.

 

This is very strange. I had the exact problem. So I entered the code, and now it says play instead of buy. But now when I hit play on nightfall episode 1, it plays the bulletin instead. I did try restarting my xbox, that didn't work. I pulled the power chord
out too. Nothing is working. I keep getting sent to the bulletin automatically and its annoying as heck!

 

So the halo channel just downloaded a 41 MB update -AND- shocker of shockers it's still not working... Episode two isn't available yet so I haven't called my bank yet because surprise I have a life and 2 hours on the phone is a waste of my time if you would
just solve the problem... I simply can't understand why you haven't done anything??? The master chief collection was advertised as including access to Halo nightfall... This was false advertising at the very least if you refuse to fix this problem... I have
never had a problem with Microsoft that was not resolved QUICKLY and courteously and to my satisfaction... I am a Microsft Certified technician - this just isn't the level of service that I am used to... Please solve this problem NOW...

 

Tried what you suggested Mister Quimby. Didn't resolve the issue.

We are receiving reports that this issue has been resolved. Please go ahead and give the following steps a try:

• From the Dashboard, navigate to the Halo Channel app.
• Select Menu and then select Quit.
• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
• Power on your console and navigate to the Halo Channel app.
• Select the Halo Channel app and under the Feature tab, select Play.

Give the steps above a try and let us know if you are still being prompted to buy Halo. Thanks!

 

The "fix" above did not work for me. It still says I need to buy halo.

 

Seriously get off your *** and fix this. I fallowed your instructions 3 times still doesn't work. I have the disk i entered the code still says"buy halo" instead of play. If I hit buy it takes me to the nightfall option on the game and when i click on that
it takes me to channel app its an endless cycle. Hate you right now unfu$& yourselfs.

I am truly sorry to hear that the issue is continuing to occur. I recommend trying a few additional steps to see if we can get this issue sorted:

• First, if you have a capture card plugged into your Xbox One, please remove it because you will be unable to watch Halo Nightfall for DRM reasons.
  
• Make sure that there are no guests signed in to your Xbox One console.
• If you purchased a physical copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, please ensure that you're signed in as the profile who redeemed the Halo Nightfall 25 character code. If you purchased the game digitally, please ensure you're signed in with the account
