Can't use Xbox live gold

I ran out of a 14 day trial of Xbox live gold earlier today so I renewed it. It's been a few hours since I bought it but I am unable to connect and am being asked if I'd like to purchase it again.

You have a gold sub according to your gamercard.You can't use trials on an xbox live profile that already has a gold sub.

they can't be used to buy xbox live gold memberships as a payment option.

It states that debit cards can't be used at this moment.

I suggest using the debit card to buy a xbox live gold subscription prepaid card at a local store

I have the same issue, my subscription tells me that i have xbox live gold until 25-02-2018. But i can't use any xbox live gold features.
