Can't use Xbox credit to subscribe to EA Access

Currently I don't have C/C (waiting for a new one, long story), so I bought a 30.00 xbox (or microsoft) credit from EB Games so I can subscribe to EA Access. Unfortunately, It won't accept any xbox credit (or whatever its called). Is there a way to use
xbox credit? or do I have to wait until I get my new credit card?

Why can't I use Microsoft money (xbox balance basically) to buy a subscription to EA Access? I've got credit that I'd like to use!

For the early access trial you need to be an EA Access subscriber. Can you please confirm if you subscribe to EA Access?

Bit daft really , EA should just reclaim the sub fee from MS and allow users to pay using pre paid MS currency cards .

 

In fact , any app that requires a subscription , i.e NetFlix , EA access and such like should have the option to pay via MS currency cards , makes sense to allow everything to be purchased in ONE place with ONE form of payment .

 

Yeah, but they can't auto renew with currency on your account (in case you don't have any) but with a credit card attached, they can.

 

absolute nonsense this, been chatting to EA and XBOX support, they can't do a thing, even had you can use it to buy DLC, Music, Film and all that baloney, XBOX are so lucky that the Playstation is so bad... SO DEPRESSING I WANT TO SWEAR ALL OVER THIS PAGE!!!!

That's right , they can't ponce monies off you if you don't attach a CC . The option should be in place though for those who don't have or will not use a CC on their account .

 

this is also done so your account cant be hacked if ea was hacked they could also get your live account and vice a versa

Are you seriously saying it's far safer to have a CC on your acct to pay for stuff rather than prepaid currency cards in case your acct gets hacked ? Wake up bro .

 

I don't think you keen even use Xbox Credit to renew Gold memberships. May I suggest getting Visa Debit. You don't have to be 18 to get it you can apply if your 16+ and Visa Debit is treated like a credit card just uses money from your account none of this
ridiculous extra interest % you get with credit cards and is Accepted everywhere Visa is accepted which is pretty much everywhere. And you don't have to have good credit. ANZ NZ and Australia do them. Check with your nearest bank. I can trust Microsoft with
my personal info the effort they put into protecting your personal info and credit card info. If anything suspicious goes on your bank and Visa will correct it depending on which country you live in you're still protected by your countries laws.

 

From the business' standpoint (i.e. Netflix/EA/etc) it makes zero sense. It is akin to using a Best Buy gift card at the Home Depot. When you use a credit card to make a payment (in this case, to EA) you are paying EA directly. No company wants to jump
through hoops to get their money from some other company. Using a credit card is much simpler for all parties involved. Plus, if you don't want to have your CC information saved online, you can always make the payment and delete it off your profile.
