    Cant use Xbox app........ and the support is crap!


    I am suffering constant freezing.... no point in using the app what so ever! I tried to see if i had the latest version, support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-on-windows/getting-started/verify-version-xbox-app-on-windows-10. It says
    8.8.15003.00000 is the latest there, but i'm running A LATER VERSION. 9.9.28033.00000 and i've not selected any beta version to install. Then I look here to find official support that do not even bother to read a post, and respond to it (mkaking this
    support look stupid and pointless). Just like GFWL......... an absolute waste of time...... back to 8.1. for a couple of years, seeing as you wont be able to sort this!

    HBO to Go and Xfinity APP.

    I think its really retarded there's no comcast/xfinity support for HBOGO for Xbox 360 im forced to use the xfinity app why cant i use both?????????? i can use both on my iPhone 4 HBOGO & xfinity tv app.........

    This is my wifes account. I am so sick of this crap. I am done with xbox. Every month its some other crap and I cant sign in again. Im going to app games on my tablet and phone. How complicated does security need to be for users.

    I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue, Marcinko Jr, and as a service manager for the team that works directly on the app, I'm sorry to hear about the frustration you're going through regarding support. My first suggestion would be to try to download
    the beta version of the app and see if you're experiencing the same issues. We're working hard to eliminate any bugs we come across, including crashes and the beta version has a variety of updates available in it. If you're still experiencing these problems
    once you download the beta app, please attempt to submit feedback through the app. Feedback files that way goes directly into our system and into a queue I tend so that I can have it moved directly to the individuals that can best work on that item.

  5. I too am having issues getting the xbox app to load correctly on my windows 10 lap top.

    It starts with the green screen and loading icon but never gets any further.

    I tried to restore the previous version that had worked well but I still have the same problem.

    I did find the Beta version and loaded it and it is working well, thankfully!

    As suggested but DamienLogos I will give this feedback via the beta app too.

    Keep moving forward. Cant use Xbox app........ and the support is crap! :)

    Having the same problem as hungryfatbear, app starts to load, stuck at a green screen. Its the 11. version and this only started after the latest windows 10 update.

    Yikes! Sorry to hear folks are having issues. Please send me (gamertag: Rooks) an Xbox Live message and I'll follow up with you to try and get more details.

    Also, what OS build do folks have? You can go to Settings app -> System -> About, to find this information. There was a recently Windows 10 update that happened around the same time as well, so it would be good to know if this is happening
    with people that have updated their OS or not.

    Experiencing the same problem. Strangely using the same PC if I log in using my Microsoft account the xbox app works fine and I can stream no problems, however if my son logs on using his account it doesn't work, just get the spinning dots followed by green
    screen. He does appear to be logged in though as if I go back my account and log in to the app he shows in friend list as being logged in on the app.

    We then tried to log him in to the app on a windows 10 laptop and it worked fine. Makes no sense. All worked prior to the latest update.

    Have already tried removing the xbox app using powershell and reinstalling but made no difference. I'm running build 10240.

    Streaming fine last night, app cannot "see" console tonight - go figure?! This is not the first time I have had this issue either. Previously I was running dual boot Win10/Win8.1 so I just reinstalled the Win10 partition (after going through all the troubleshooting
    steps I could find) and that fixed it. It then happened again a couple of weeks later, went through all troubleshooting (again) before removing the dual boot and doing the 8.1>10 upgrade. Once again, this fixed it. Until now

    I have done as suggested and installed the Xbox Beta app and it too refused to work. I have tried adding the console manually via IP address and it just says "We are not able to find and Xbox One console with the IP address provided". Very strange considering
    I can "see" the console in network devices and can ping it from a CMD prompt (always flawless result).

    Frankly I'm sick of this. I have had to put up with next to useless support reps on Twitter (try power cycling, what do you mean you pinged it from CMD?) and I've had a long conversation with a member of the dev team via gamertag message , neither of which
    have helped.

    This is advertised functionality, it is being used by Microsoft as a marketing tool and yet it doesn't work for what appears to be quite a lot of people. My purchase of a One predates the release of this functionality, but, it is one of the primary reasons
    I haven't yet made the PS4 my console of choice. It's also the SOLE reason I upgraded to Win 10.

    We need fixes, not promises of it being passed on to the dev team, please!

    I'm not able to launch the Windows 10 XBOX app on my computer to play my XBOX One games. It was working perfectly this morning. I went to try to launch the app, it shows the version number at the top right of the screen, disappears and just displays a green
    screen forever inside the app. I shut it down and tried again and same thing. I've restarted my computer and it still didn't fix the issue. Anyone else know the remedy to fix this issue or experienced it before? I have the latest updates for Windows 10. I've

    Hello there, With regards to the original issue about freezing this may be cause by your network connectivity. Though if you already have isolated that it may help to uninstall and re-install the Xbox App. I'm posting here to address the last issue though
