Can't use profile when using XBox Live

Ok so I'm having an issue. I turn on my Xbox 360 and my profile is logged in, but I'm not online. So I log in, but my password is rejected every time I do. And when do this, my profile is logged out. And if I attempt to log back into my profile I go
through the whole thing again, inputting my password and such only to get rejected again. This has been an ongoing issue and I've changed my password a number of times already with it proving to be useless. The only way my profile stays available and I'm
able to play games is if I power the machine off and turn it back on again and my profile is there and already logged into, but no Xbox live. Just what is going and what can I do to fix this?

Buying a new machine is out of the question, unless someone is going to buy one for me it's not a solution that can even be on the table.

Xbox live gold

I purchased xbox live gold for my husband's xbox one and my xbox one but we both can't use it. I didn't have to purchase one for each account before so don't understand why we both can't use it when we are using the same WiFi in
the same house. We are using separate xbox ones so we both can't play our online games on our profiles. How can i enjoy xbox live on my Xbox one without logging into my husband's profile

 

Xbox 360 games on xbox 1

I have xbox live on my account on xbox 1 but when I put the 360 version of black ops 2 in, it let's me play with my profile but not online. It tells me the profile I'm using can't use xbox live on this console

If you are 100% sure you are using the correct password, it might be that you are protecting your Profile from Hackers and account hijackers with Two Step Verification.

Please check on the page for Live Account security if you have Two Step Verification enabled. Two Step Verification makes you enter a special code from an email or your Smartphone every
time you sign in to a Microsoft service from a new device. The Xbox 360 however can not (yet) work with these secondary security codes.

If your account is protected by Two Step Verification, go to the page above and scroll down to the section where you can create a so called "App Password".

Create an app password, and use THAT password on the Xbox 360 instead of your regular password.
