Can't use party chat

So, ever since I turned on my console this morning, I haven't been able to talk to ANY of my friends in party chat. For some reason, the party thinks I'm already in game chat and when I try to switch it back, nothing happens. Is anyone else experiencing/have
experienced this? If so, do you know/have any ideas how to fix it? I've already tried a hard reset and that, unfortunately, did not work.

Party chat not working, NAT is Open

Playing destiny on Xb1 I can't use party chat, just says can't connect now because of network issues.

NAT is Open

Have tried opening all ports, followed all the trouble shooting guides. Switched between Game and Party chat,. Even tried another router, same problems.

Game chat works fine, just can't use party chat, anyone else having this issue?

Using a Technicolor TG589vn modem router, do have other Xbox 360's on the network though have tried it with these disconnected and no change.

OMGoth! I like totally thought that this was the absolute cure all for every thing that could possibly go wrong with a One since it like totally fixes pretty much every thing one could
possibly think of or at least so I thought. Anyways... that's weird. Maybe everyone blocked you? j/k

 

If this is so, better hop on Xbox 360. I'm in an Xbox Live Party on 360 almost everyday and it works and I find the UI much more user friendlier than on the Xbox 1. I don't think Windows 8 likes Xbox Language ;D

Maybe try in-game chat. On Xbox 1, that's suppose to be crystal clear. I use the Kinect for voice chat on Xbox 1. If I talk in an audible voice while playing Minecraft or Forza 5 on Xbox 1 and have the in-game menu which displays everyone in the game, I
can see the mic flash when I speak and my Kinect picks it up. Otherwise come back in a few hours or the following day. Maybe try this thing could a "hard reset". I hear Xbox 1 needs many of those, compared to Xbox 360. I'm not saying Xbox 1 is a bad system,
but I prefer Xbox 360 more and do acknowledge that there has been many improvements since I got Xbox 1 day 1. Could be a networking issue. 21st century technology isn't perfect.

 

I'm having these same issues right now. Game chat works fine but as soon as I get into any party, it won't let me switch to "Party Chat". It's like it's stuck in Game Chat & won't allow a switch over to Party Chat.

 

It's Sunday 10:50 am NZ time for me. I'm on the Xbox 1 Dashboard and guess what... I was ABLE to start a Party, Windows 8 style cause the UI on Xbox 1 looks more Windows 8 than the UI on Xbox 360. When I talk I see a little orange empty circle and it expands
when the Kinect picks up my voice. Maybe it's a region thing. Cloud has been in a Party for the past 2 hours hes from the UK.

 

I just learned something new today ^^

I calibrated my Kinect. I have an HDTV connect mount so place my Kinect ontop of my Sony KDL40EX720 in my bedroom. When calibrating it, make sure that your HDTV's speakers are quiet as possible without the Dashboard saying your speakers are too quiet, which
is what it said to me when my HDTV's speakers were at 25, and 30 decibels (speakers can go up to 99 decibels on my HDTV). 35 decibels works and now I can talk quietly anywhere in my bedroom and the Kinect picks me up! O and Geek, I can start Parties have no
problems with what you've experienced and in the party my Kinect picks up my voice. Cloud has been in a Party for the past 2 hours. Maybe it's a region thing, there's no service alerts for Xbox Live currently. I'm switching over to my Xbox 360 soon.

I just reset my xbox and it sorts the problem.

 

I've been experiencing this too. I have no idea how to fix this.
